This year I am running the City to Surf with my 7 year old daughter Isla, in loving memory of my Dad & Isla's Grandad, Billy Muldoon. This will be Isla's first long distance run & she is very excited to be raising money in memory of her Grandad. Isla was just 3 years old when he passed away & Rory was only 9 months old & sadly George will only get to know of him through the memories we share with him.
Isla would like to raise $1000 and I would like to raise $1000 to donate to this worthy cause to help in the fight against stroke.
Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and the financial cost of stroke is estimated to be around 5 billion dollars here in Australia alone. In 2015, funding for stroke research through the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) represented just 4.1 percent of the total investment in medical research so that is why I am raising money for the Stroke Foundation again this year and I have set our goal at $2000.
Please dig deep to help Isla and I raise funds in memory of not just my father but everyone around Australia suffering from this terrible disability.
